At the June 10 meeting, the committee unanimously advanced policies JLCD through JFBB to second read while tabling two others — JKAA, which carries an August legal deadline and will receive expedited single-reading approval at the June 24 meeting, and JCA, flagged by district counsel for further revision. Superintendent Dr. Thompson reported that 87 percent of the graduating Class of 2026 is college-bound, heading to 66 universities, with 11 signing on to college athletics and 10 committing to careers in education. Outgoing drama advisor Jen Prindaville reported the Lamplighter theater program sold roughly 3,400 tickets across three productions this year and announced Thajus v. Andrade as her successor. Committee member Mr. Turner confirmed the DEP closed a citizen-raised arsenic concern at the MSBA new school construction site, with ground-breaking now expected around June 23.
